The Flyers athletes headed to Ballarat for the BNA tournament again this year.
With a number of players out in Team 1 we combined athletes from Team 2 and brought some of our 17&U’s to Team 2. We also had the opportunity to give our young ones a run in the 15&U section.
Our young athletes grew in confidence over the course of the day and just missed out on finals by 2 points. It was great to see the way they went about taking on the challenge set out in front of them.
Team 2 took first bragging rights by knocking off a shell-chocked Team 1 in the first round. It was then game on and all of us loved watching the second game in the rounds with neither side prepared to take a step backwards. Team 1 stung into action and went on to go one better this year taking out the 17&U Grand Final.
