Geelong Flyers Special Awards

  • Emma McVilly Award

The Emma McVilly Award is a perpetual award given to a player who represents important team and community values.  Emma McVilly played for the Flyers.  The 17-year old country netball star died suddenly in 2008 after collapsing during a warm-up for her team’s Regional State League Grand Final in Warrnambool.  This award remembers the values of a player despite the tragic event that occurred back in 2008.
